Participation of the 1st EPAP.L. of Drama in the Erasmus+ KA220: “AI4GreenEd”, in Spain and Italy

The 1st EPAP.L. of Drama actively participates in the European Erasmus+ project KA220-SCH-0290B952 entitled AI4GreenEd (Artificial Intelligence for Environmental Learning), which focuses on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in environmental education in order to enhance educational practices and sustainability.

The project is coordinated by the IES Castelar school in Badajoz, Spain, and involves teachers and students from Greece, Lithuania, Turkey and the Bluezona organisation from Sicily.

The first kickoff meeting was held in Badajoz, Spain, from 25 to 29 November 2024. During the meeting, the participating teachers discussed the structure of the project, organised the next actions and exchanged ideas on the project’s progress and success. At the same time, they visited educational sites of IES Castelar, the old town of Badajoz, and the city of Elba in Portugal. The programme concluded with the awarding of certificates of participation.

The 1st EPAPL of Drama was represented by the teachers Yannarou Sofia and Yagiozi Efstathia.

The second transnational meeting of the Erasmus+ KA220 European project “AI4GreenEd” (Artificial Intelligence for Environmental Learning) took place in Palermo, Italy from 23 to 27 February 2025.

The mobility was hosted and organised by Associazione Bluezona, a project partner specialised in the development of innovative education actions using artificial intelligence.

Participating teachers attended:

Seminars on AI in Education and Machine Learning.
Thematic presentations and discussions by country on the topics:
AI and Ethics (Greece and Lithuania),
AI and Legal Framework (Italy),
AI and Practical Applications (Turkey and Spain).
The programme also included cultural visits to the historical centre of Palermo (UNESCO) and traditional local meals.

The 1st EPAPL of Drama was represented by the teachers Anastasios Sali, Ketsetsetsidou Theodora and Efstathia Giaghiozis, who actively contributed to the success of the activities and the strengthening of transnational cooperation.

The Erasmus+ programme “AI4GreenEd” continues to promote experiential learning, innovation and environmental awareness through the use of modern technologies.
